What is the point of discouraging someone from creating jobs in Portland?

I am attending film school at the NW film Center. I hope to have a career in film or television when I finish. If someone from Hollywood says they intend to start a production company (not an "empire") in Portland and intend to create jobs here then lets encourage them, hmmmmm?
You just may have more to talk about from such an endeavor.

for those not clued into this post..this is regards to a mention I made tonight on KGW-TV's "Live at 7" show. I was talking about Daniel Baldwin, of the famed Baldwin brother family, intention to build a production company, or what I called a "empire," in Portland.
